Nah, I prefer the silver age Really Really Gay Man with his origin based on science rather than ancient myth.

IIRC, the mythical origin had to do with RRGM's emasculating mother, while the scientific origin had to do with his being born that way (mutie! ). I find either preferable to the Ultimate origin, involving gang rape at a Boy Scout camp.
